The second track taken from Snapped Ankles’ new album Hard Times Furious Dancing, ‘Pay The Rent’ takes a sideways look at how the global cost of living crisis is putting a squeeze on the arts – or “Dancing at the misery of the situation,” as Ankle Austin puts it. Set in Kent, they’re aiming their ire at the architects of Brexit, which has compounded issues, and made life as a touring band almost impossible to sustain.
The release of ‘Pay The Rent’ coincides with the announcement of Snapped Ankles’ GoFundTrees campaign which will explore how enterprising woodwose can keep the tourbus lights on.
It launches at 10am GMT on Friday February 21st – when you’ll be able to head to www.gofundtrees.co.uk for more information on furious dance parties in Epping Forest, online HIIT sessions/album previews, ghillie suit sales, exclusive merch and much more. There are some extremely limited items, so don’t be late if that’s your thing…
Hard Times Furious Dancing will be released March 28th. Pre-order/pre-save now.
Snapped Ankles are on tour in the UK and Europe from the beginning of March, including Fabric in London on May 15th. Full dates and tickets here.
